About the journal

Law and technology as an argument, not only a code

Acta Juris et Technologiae will publish scholarship that takes law and technology seriously as doctrine, as regulatory practice, and as a form of practical reason.

The journal welcomes work in the tradition of doctrinal and socio-legal scholarship on technology—the regulation of data, algorithms, and platforms, the legal governance of technical systems, and the effects of technology on law—as well as scholarship that situates law and technology in their social, economic, and historical context. It will publish artificial intelligence and law, internet law and platform regulation, cybersecurity, biotechnology and law, and work that crosses disciplinary boundaries.

The journal is being developed as an independent, international forum. It is committed to careful editorial work, serious engagement with argument, and scholarship that is accessible to readers across jurisdictions and traditions.
