Planned sections
The journal plans to publish the following categories of work; the categories describe its editorial scope.
| Section | Current status |
|---|---|
| Research articles Substantial, original scholarship on social law doctrine, history, comparison, or theory. Articles should make a clear argument and explain its significance beyond the immediate case or statute. | Planned |
| Review essays Extended engagement with recent scholarship, organised around a question rather than a single book. Review essays should advance an argument of their own. | Planned |
| Book reviews Shorter assessments of significant new work in social law and adjacent fields. Book reviews will be commissioned by the editorial team once appointments are announced. | Planned |
| Special issue proposals The journal welcomes proposals for special issues on questions of social law that merit sustained, multi-author treatment. Proposal procedures will be published with the author guidelines. | Planned |
This page will be updated as each of these is confirmed.
Selection and review
The review process is in preparation. Its arrangements will be published before submissions open.

Editorial decisions will be made by the journal's editors and will be independent of the society's operational arrangements. The separation between editorial and operational decisions will be stated in the journal's editorial policy.
